Terms and Conditions
It is a family home and its contents are very personal to us. We are delighted to share it with you and ask that you treat it as if it were your own. The ‘Library’ bedroom contains a lot of holiday reading – please make use of the books but please do not take any with you when you leave!
There are a lot of wooden surfaces in the Mill – please use the mats and coasters provided to avoid damaging them.
The kitchen has a range of different equipment all of which can be demonstrated by the property manager when guests arrive. There are also instructions for most of the equipment. There are two ovens, an induction hob, a fridge, freezer and wine cooler, a washing machine, a dryer and a dishwasher. They are all expensive pieces of equipment so please do use them with care.
The coffee machine in the kitchen is not available for use. Cafetieres are provided instead.
Booking formalities
Booking Form – this will be sent to you and we will require it back signed prior to confirming a booking.
Identification of guests – all members in your party must be included on the Booking Form. Under no circumstances must the declared number be exceeded without prior agreement. We reserve the right to deny access to persons not named on the Booking Form.
Physically or Visually-impaired clients
Safety and accessibility – please check the suitability of the property with us if your party includes anyone who may be physically or visually impaired in some way.
Children
Safety – Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children throughout the Mill and very particularly around the albercas - these have no protective barriers around them.
Cots, bath and high chairs – there are 2 travel cots, a bath suitable up to about age 2, and 2 high chairs. The high chairs do not have harnesses so please bring your own.
Pricing and inclusions
Price & deposit – your booking price is guaranteed for the agreed letting period, once a deposit of 25% of the total value of the booking and a signed Booking Form acknowledging these Terms & Conditions has been received. The security deposit is non-refundable and the balance of the booking price is due 5 weeks prior to arrival. Full payment is due if the booking is within 5 weeks of arrival.
Security deposit – a deposit of €500 is added to the final payment to cover the cost of replacement of lost, broken and damaged items. This will be refunded within 7 working days from the end of your stay, less the cost of any losses, breakages and or damage.
Utilities – the cost of electricity, water, under floor heating and firewood is included in your letting charge. If you are having trouble with the heating in any of the rooms and changing the temperature on the thermostat appears to have no effect please do seek help from the property manager (be aware that because the heating system is under floor a temperature change tends to take a few hours to be felt).
Linen – bath and face towels, bottom sheets, duvets, pillows and pillow cases are provided and included in your letting charge. We ask that Mill towels are not used around the albercas (dipping pools). Please bring your own alberca and beach towels.
Cancellation – if you cancel your booking with us, the following refunds will be available:
- Within 5 weeks prior to arrival: no refund will be possible
- Between 5 & 10 weeks prior to arrival: 25% of the full invoice is refundable
- More than 10 weeks prior to arrival: 50% of the full invoice is refundable
If we are able to re-let the Mill for the period of your booking we will refund you the full booking fee less the deposit.
Arrival & departure
Arrival – In the week prior to the start of your visit, please let us know your estimated time of arrival and a mobile number, so that we can pass this information on to our manager. This will help her to ensure that she is there to meet you on arrival at the Mill. If your arrival at the Mill is significantly delayed for any reason (e.g. there is a flight delay), please contact us and the manager so that we can adjust meeting arrangements as necessary.
Check in/Check out – check in is on or after 3.00 p.m. on the day of arrival. We ask you to keep to this timing to allow our cleaning team to progress without interruption. Please tell us if you are going to arrive later. Check out on your day of departure will be at the latest by 12.00 p.m.
Changeover day – changeover day is Saturday. Other days may be available by arrangement. On the changeover day, following the departure of the previous guests in the morning, the accommodation will be thoroughly cleaned and prepared prior to arrival. However, there is only a limited amount of time in which to prepare the Mill so we ask outgoing guests to dispose of all their rubbish when departing, and to leave the Mill in a clean condition. We reserve the right to charge a one-off cleaning fee of €75 to cover any exceptional cleaning requirements at the end of your stay. The Mill is cleaned and all linen changed weekly.
Security
Security – you are responsible for the security of the Mill and its contents whilst in occupation. The Mill comes equipped with a security system which is simple to operate. When leaving the Mill please ensure all doors are double locked, the window grilles in the "Kitchen" and the "Mill Wheel" bathroom shut and locked, the external and internal shutters on all the windows facing onto the Camino Real lowered and closed." .
The gate – the gate should always be closed and locked to help prevent horses, mules, donkeys, dogs, goats and other animals gaining access to the grounds. The goats, in particular, tend to wreak havoc in the gardens!
Fire extinguishers – these are provided on each floor.
Fires outside – the Mill is not equipped with a barbeque and it is illegal to set fires in the Parque Natural between May and October (the property is within the boundaries of the Parque Natural).
Access by others – certain people have access to the property, particularly the project manager, the property manager, the gardener, the woodsman, and the maintenance manager. It will generally be obvious who is on the property but please do challenge anyone you see if you are unsure of someone.
Locked doors and cabinets – certain doors and cabinets are kept locked for security reasons or because they contain personal possessions of the owners.
Smoking – please do not smoke in the house or anywhere in the grounds. Removal of the effects of smoke is expensive and will be deducted from the security deposit.
